Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
PiClimb ("we", "our", "us") is an app for learning and recalling the digits of π on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. This policy explains what data is processed when you use PiClimb, by whom, and your choices.
1. Your progress stays on your devices
Everything you do in PiClimb – practice results, recall and Pi Panic scores, streaks, achievements and settings – is stored locally on your device. If you use the Apple Watch app, progress is synchronized directly between your iPhone and your Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity.
PiClimb has no user accounts, and we do not run our own servers. We cannot see your progress.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of PiClimb shows banner ads from Google AdMob on a few screens (never during training). To serve and measure ads, Google may process information such as your IP address, device and app information, coarse location and ad interactions. PiClimb does not ask for permission to track you across apps (App Tracking Transparency), so Google does not receive your device's advertising identifier from PiClimb.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, PiClimb asks for your consent through Google's consent tool (User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices.
Buying Remove Ads turns off all ads.
More information: How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
The one-time Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and to restore them on your devices. RevenueCat receives the purchase transaction from Apple together with a random, anonymous app user ID created by the app. It does not receive your name or contact details. If you downloaded PiClimb from an Apple Search Ads campaign, Apple's privacy-preserving attribution token is shared with RevenueCat so we can see which search terms lead to purchases; this does not identify you. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
4. Anonymous usage statistics (TelemetryDeck)
To understand how PiClimb is played and to improve it, the app sends anonymous usage events to TelemetryDeck, for example when a training session ends, how many digits were entered, accuracy, and which settings are used. These events never contain your name, contacts or anything you type outside training. TelemetryDeck uses a hashed, anonymous identifier and does not track you across apps. See the TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy.
You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage statistics.
5. Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, PiClimb sends your scores and achievements to Apple's Game Center so they appear on leaderboards and in your profile. This is handled by Apple and governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
6. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, PiClimb schedules a local notification on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
7. Children
PiClimb is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your choices and rights
- Turn off anonymous statistics in Settings.
- Change your advertising consent under Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices (where available).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held by the services above. Contact us and we will help.
